Volunteer Opportunity: The Canadian Dupuytren Society is looking for a Social Media Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate volunteer (unpaid) Social Media Manager to join our team. As a Social Media Manager, you will play a key role in developing our social media strategy and executing it to align with our mission. Our goal is to foster online community engagement by creating a network of individuals affected by Dupuytren, Ledderhose or Peyronie Disease who want to share their knowledge and experiences.
Who we are
The Canadian Dupuytren Society is a non-profit and charitable organization dedicated to increasing awareness and disseminating information about Dupuytren, Ledderhose and Peyronie Disease to patients, their family and the community at large.
Volunteer Social Media Manager responsibilities
- Develop a social media strategy aligned with our mission in collaboration with the organization’s leadership team (all volunteers) via Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms as appropriate
- Post content about the disease and treatment options in Canada to build an online presence and to collect insights from patients regarding available healthcare providers
- Foster meaningful interactions by responding to comments, messages and inquiries to enhance support among patients
- Monitor discussions on a daily basis
- Regularly track and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of the strategy
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and French with excellent oral and written communications skills
- Experience with social media platforms and best practices for online engagement
- Highly organized, motivated and flexible with proven project management skills
- Strong analytical abilities
- Some familiarity with Dupuytren Disease and the healthcare system in Canada
- Previous volunteering experience with a charitable organization, or equivalent
